            At the conclusion of this 2014-2015 school year, officers for the 2015-2016 PTO Executive Board needed to be elected.  Unfortunately, there was insufficient attendance at the last PTO meeting to be able to discuss this topic.  Lack of attendance and low volunteerism for some events throughout this year has presented us with a great need for Chairs and Co-Chairs in the future to be able to continue having the fun events that our students enjoy.   We are about to embark on another school year as partners in the education of our children, and our hopes are to continue to have an operating PTO. 
Historically, the Jefferson PTO has planned and supported many outstanding events, activities, and fundraisers throughout the school year, such as: 
 
  • Fall Festival                                    - Art Fair
  • Book Fair                                         - Ice Cream Social
  • Spring Carnival                            - Teacher Appreciation
  • Winter Party                                  - School Store
  • Jaguar Jog                                         - Field Trips
  • 5th Grade EOY Party                   - Kindergarten Roundup
  • School Pictures                             -Junior Great Books
  • Box Top Coordinator                 -Milk Moola, Hy-Vee Receipts
 The Jefferson staff appreciates the many years of support from our wonderful parent organization, and we are fearful that the activities and opportunities listed above will not be available to students next year.  We strongly encourage you to speak with other Jefferson parents if you share our concerns.
